SocialContests - Product Image

SocialContests is a free set of giveaway and contest tools that picks a winner from a list you paste, for creators who do not want to hand over a social login.

You paste the comments. The site never asks for the login.

The homepage says Instagram will not let any site read comments without your login, so you copy them and paste them in. TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and a plain list work the same way. Bluesky is the exception the privacy page names: that picker reads public replies, likes, and reposts from your browser, and only if the browser blocks that do the requests go through SocialContests' server, which says it forwards them to Bluesky without storing or logging them.

The image on this page is the homepage's example, not a draw run from here. It shows an Instagram paste of 214 comments, 12 duplicates removed, 3 left out, and 199 left in the draw, with @lena.knits marked the winner and two backups. The Instagram picker says you can also require tags, then pick winners and backups. Lists can run to 200,000 entries. The about page says all 17 tools are free and work without an account.

A link that replays the same winner

After a draw, the site makes a draw link. Followers open it and watch the same winner come up from the same entries. The check page says you can paste that link, and the replay runs in the browser. A signed-in account can also give each winner a private claim link, and pull the backup in one tap. A separate drand mode fetches public randomness from drand and, the privacy page says, sends nothing.

Around the draw, the same site has a countdown, a winner image, caption text, a rules notice that tells followers which account is real, printable raffle tickets, a 50/50 calculator, bingo cards, brackets, Secret Santa without email, random teams, a judging scorecard, and a scam checker for a "you won" message.

What leaves the browser

  • Without an account, the privacy page says entries, comments, names, and photos never leave the browser. Pasting a list, uploading a spreadsheet, or adding a photo is handled on the device. The site says it does not receive, store, or see that input.
  • An account is optional. While signed in, each draw stores the title, tool, platform, date, the names or handles that were drawn, the entry count, the draw code, and the draw link. Entry lists, wheels, rosters, Secret Santa groups, bingo lists, brackets, judging contests, and a brand kit are stored only when you press Save.
  • A winner who confirms through a claim link can leave a short message and an email address. Secret Santa members have their names, whether they opened their link, and a wishlist. Draw-link opens and public-page views are counted per day as numbers. A one-way scrambled form of the visitor's address is used so each visitor counts once a day.
  • Sign-in can be a link that works once, for 10 minutes, or Google, which supplies an email and a name. The session cookie lasts 30 days from the last use. The newsletter is a separate tick box. Resend sends the mail. EmailOctopus gets the address only if that box is ticked. CleanTalk checks the sign-in address. Settings can download the account or delete it immediately. The email log is kept 90 days, then deleted.

Who it is aimed at

The about page says it is for creators, small businesses, schools, offices, clubs, and anyone running a giveaway, raffle, or party draw. It does not name the person or company that runs the site. Umami, hosted by them, counts visits and does not store IP addresses. Do Not Track makes Umami record nothing. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may also load, and both set cookies. The privacy page says nothing you type, paste, or draw is sent to them, and that the data after a # in a link, where draw links keep their contents, is not recorded. Clarity does not run on a page opened from such a link.
